Grants to USA nonprofit organizations in multiple states for career readiness and employment skills training programs for youth and young adults. For the purpose of this grant program, the funding source will not consider requests outside of the following locations:

- Corporate Headquarters: Camden, NJ; Pennsauken, NJ; Camden and Burlington Counties, NJ

- Eastern Region: Florence, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Orlando, FL; Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC; Montgomery, Prince George’s, Frederick, Howard Counties in MD; Fairfax, Loudon, and Prince William Counties in VA

- Central Region: Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX

- Western Region: Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA

There are two applications, one for youth career exploration and one for employment skills training.

Career Exploration:
- Middle-to-high-school-aged youth in under-served communities
- Opportunities for real world hands-on exploration
- Exposure to hard and soft skills needed in today’s workforce
- Activities must have relevance to work readiness

Employment Skills Training:
- 16-26-year-olds in underserved communities
- Hard and soft skills training needed to (re)connect to employment pathways
- Assist in obtaining industry-appropriate certifications required for employment
- Create and nurture partnerships for internships and permanent employment

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Subaru is dedicated to supporting organizations that help neighbors and community members in need. The Foundation provides funding for nonprofit organizations in its communities across the country.

- Individuals
- Veterans, fraternal and labor organizations
- Government agencies
- Direct support of churches, religious or sectarian groups
- Schools including individual public, private, renaissance, charter schools, and school districts
- Social, membership or other groups that serve the special interests of their constituency
- Capital campaigns
- Political organizations, campaigns or candidates running for public office
- Organizations and programs that benefit individuals outside the United States
- Vehicle donations
- Current Share the Love or Hometown Charity partners.
- Organizations that discriminate based on age, gender, race, national origin, ethnicity, religious belief, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, military status, or political affiliation.

Pre-Application Information:

There are two funding cycles annually with application deadlines of March 30 and October 12. The applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on the due date. Awards will be announced in September and February, respectively.

The grant process takes approximately five to six months to complete.

Applications will be available about two months prior to the stated deadline, and will be taken offline the day after the deadline dates. Only one application per organization can be considered in a 12-month period.
